Design Driven Concepts for Automated Testing
This is a pragmatic starter's guide for understanding how tests really affect system design from the ground up. As testing professionals, often we're so busy trying to automate regression tests or features, it's easy to lose sight of what we're trying to achieve by automating in the first place, which is to make our applications more testable!
This talk will focus on framing the approach to thinking about system design, rather than test scenarios when approaching a problem statement. This will factor in several different disciplines to focus on a lesser-known category of test: the Collaboration Test.
From this talk, attendees will learn how to break down a system into components and reason about their behaviour, implementing tests with this behaviour in mind.
