December 22, 2011 : San Mateo, Calif. – December 22, 2011 – Appirio, a technology-enabled services provider that helps enterprises power their business with the cloud, has been named by Gartner as one of the leading providers of Cloud Services Brokerage (CSB) in their recent Who's Who in Cloud Services Brokerage report, 2011. According to the report, "the CSB role will affect how many providers deliver solutions across much of the $862 billion IT services industry.""In a world that's as fast paced and complex as cloud computing, cloud brokers can help IT hedge risk, clarify strategy and integrate this new paradigm into existing processes and technology," said Narinder Singh, chief strategy officer, Appirio. The report, authored by Benoit J. Lheureux, Daryl C. Plummer, Tiffani Bova, Michele Cantara, Eric Knipp and Paolo Malinverno, was published November 21, 2011.
Appirio was also named this year as a Cool Vendor in Application Development by Gartner Inc. in its 2011 report authored by Thomas E. Murphy, David Norton, Jim Duggan and Eric Knipp, published April 15, 2011.
