Tejal joins Wipro with nearly three decades of experience in legal, governance, and compliance across Asia Pacific. She worked at General Electric for over 18 years where she played key roles as the General Counsel for various businesses such as GE Consumer and Industrial, GE Aviation, and GE Healthcare. Prior to joining Wipro, Tejal was the Senior Legal Advisor, INSEA, at OYO (Oravel Stays Limited) and a member of OYO’s leadership team.
Tejal holds a law degree from Government Law College, Mumbai, India, and is a qualified Solicitor of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society and the Law Society of England and Wales. She has been recognized in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist, GC Influencers (Chambers), Top 100 Powerful Women in Law, ICCA, and for her exemplary contribution to the compliance ecosystem. Her teams have also been recognized as amongst the best in the country. She is a prominent thought leader in the industry.
In her role as General Counsel for Wipro, Tejal will head the Legal & Compliance, Global Data Privacy and Government Affairs functions. She will also be part of Wipro Executive Council (WEC).
