Harish Dwarkanhalli is President of Wipro’s cloud enterprise platforms (CEP) - a business which includes practices centered on SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Appiro Consulting Services, Microsoft Dynamics, emerging SaaS partners and the process consulting group. He is responsible for P&L management; leading global sales and delivery teams; executive relationships with customers, partners and analysts; and for the overall growth of the CEP business.
Previously, Harish worked with Cognizant for twenty-three years, where he held several leadership positions and was one of the youngest senior vice presidents in company history. He was responsible for managing the Salesforce, digital CX, BPM and integration practices, constituting a P&L of nearly $1 billion in revenues delivered by a team of over 14,000 people. In his last three years at Cognizant, Harish achieved 100% overall portfolio growth while flipping traditional on-premises business to digital technologies. He enhanced Cognizant’s positioning, leading analysts like Forrester, Gartner, ISG and Nelson Hall to rank the organization as a leader across horizontal competencies.
Harish has incubated and scaled multiple practices organically throughout his career. He formed the Salesforce practice at Cognizant, which through his strategy, vision and growth plan became their next billion-dollar business. Within three years, Harish established Cognizant’s Salesforce practice as one of the fastest growing practices among all SIs. He also oversaw the inorganic acquisitions of SaaSfocus and ATG.
Prior to this, Harish established the market share and mindshare for Cognizant in integration and BPM services by building the world’s largest practice in this space from scratch. This work earned him recognition as the top SI partner by product vendors SoftwareAG, TIBCO, IBM, Pega and Mulesoft.
Harish’s early career focused on delivering complex and strategic programs as part of the Cognizant’s advanced solutions group. His unit was entrusted with delivering transformational client engagements that required systems integration and program management across multiple vendors and horizontals involving cutting edge technologies. Prior to that, he was a founding member of Technology, Architecture and Strategic Consulting (TASC)—a group formed to provide independent consulting as a niche service offering.
Harish has an engineering background with a M.S. in computer science from BITS and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from PES Institute of Technology.
He is a cricket enthusiast, a movie buff and a voracious reader. He is passionate about technology and frequently dabbles in coding on IOT devices, conversational AI and ML frameworks in his spare time.
