Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) is a cadre of expert technologists who have demonstrated technical proficiency and thought leadership to shape the technology roadmap of Wipro and our customers.
Anchored on the three pillars of Value Generation, Execution and Credibility in an individual’s area of technical expertise, entry into DMTS is based on stringent evaluation against these parameters. DMTS community members are initiated into one of three levels – Fellow, Distinguished Member or Senior Member – depending upon the maturity of technical expertise and the sphere of influence over which their technical leadership extends. Technological contributions grow as one moves from Senior Member to Fellow.
DMTS members focus on emerging technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G, Data Analytics, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Cyber Security, IoT and Quantum Computing. They continue contributing to complex projects while demonstrating thought leadership through technology research, developing IPs, filing patents and publishing papers on a regular basis. Wipro supports community members in their development as technologists through career guidance, technical seminars, financial assistance in self-development and enabling avenues for them to present their research.
