The client, a leading company in audio device innovation and technology, set out to modernize its dealer portal to strengthen global market leadership. The existing platform was outdated, offered cumbersome user experience, and lacked key features such as role-based personalization, geo-location enablement, and efficient order tracking. 

To overcome these challenges, the client aimed to replace the outdated, inefficient system with a unified, high-performing B2B e-commerce portal that would enhance dealer engagement, improve operational stability, and deliver a superior user experience in an increasingly competitive and fast-evolving market.

Action

Wipro implemented a next-generation B2B e-commerce platform built on Liferay DXP and Azure AD, creating a modern Digital Experience Platform designed for scalability and personalization. The solution introduced role-based personalization, ensuring tailored experiences for different user groups, and enabled geo-location capabilities to support global dealer operations seamlessly.

To enhance operational efficiency, Wipro streamlined SAP integration for product details, payments, and shipments, while significantly reducing SAP API calls to improve performance and stability. Additionally, persona-based dashboards were incorporated to deliver intuitive, data-driven insights for diverse user roles.

Key technologies included Liferay 7.4 DXP PaaS and Azure AD, integrated with SAP Business API, Salsify, Paymetric, and UPS, supporting a user base of 5,000 total users with 3,000 concurrent sessions, and successfully decommissioning the legacy custom .NET dealer portal.

The transformation delivered substantial and measurable results. By leveraging low/no-code capabilities, coding complexity was reduced by 40%, enabling faster and more efficient development.  The introduction of five-plus geo-location enablements, provided dealers worldwide with localized, seamless experiences. Development timelines improved significantly, with a 30% acceleration in the cycle, ensuring quicker time-to-market. Most notably, user experience advanced by 60%, offering an intuitive and personalized interface that strengthened dealer engagement.
