The TM Forum Catalysts are rapid-fire proof-of-concept projects that bring together companies, large and small, to create innovate solutions to common challenges, leveraging key TM Forum best practices and standards to ensure scalability, reuse, and reduced cost and risk.
The aviation industry is expected to undergo significant transformations. 5G slicing technology - with its ability to render differentiated and guaranteed services - can play a pivotal role in this transformation. In this year’s TM Forum Catalyst program, the Catalyst project “The Aviator”, explored interesting use-cases in the aviation industry that leverage the potential of 5G slicing technology.
Wipro has been leading this TMF Catalyst, a joint proof-of-concept, under the championship of BT and AT&T, along with participants’ i2i systems, CanGo Networks, MYCOM OSI and Oracle to explore managing of 5G differentiated communication services for a bouquet of services of different hues. The catalyst explored enhancing the experience, efficiency, and safety of the aviation echo-system players. Wipro brought its Digital Market Place solution along with its Slice orchestration solution based on ETSI OSM.
