Driving product quality and customer satisfaction through certified TEC Testing
TEC directs all telecom equipment to undergo mandatory testing and certification (MTCTE) prior to sale or import for use in India.
MTCTE is carried out to check conformance with essential requirements of the equipment through TEC-designated labs. These Essential Requirements (ER) include EMI/ EMC, safety, technical parameters, Radio Frequency (RF) requirements and other criteria notified by TEC/ DoT.
Tarang Labs features fully equipped 10-meter and 3-meter semi-anechoic chamber enabling Automated Radiated Emission and Radiated Immunity tests with emissions/immunity Lab software. The Lab also has test equipment such as EMI Receivers (40GHz), Antennas, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Amplifiers (18GHz), LISNs, ESD Generators, EFT Generators, Surge Generators, Voltage Dips, Interruption Simulators etc. to cater to EMC requirements prescribed by TEC (TEC/SD/DD/EMC-221/05/Oct-16).
The lab also supports safety testing per IEC 62368-1, IEC 60215, IP testing per IEC 60529, and environmental tests per QM 333.
It additionally offers cellular radio conformance testing for 5G NR, LTE, and legacy base stations in accordance with 3GPP standards, including complex testing for MSR (Multi‑Standard Radio) and AAS (Active Antenna System) radios.
