Guest: Samantha Liscio, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
The Canadian economy, like many others the world over, has been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. As a consequence, Canadian organizations today have been transforming their businesses. This change is being led by large scale adoption of digital practices, consumerization of technology, industry specific cloud platforms and competition from new age companies across industries.
Today, technology is more accessible to people with mobile penetration at almost 100% globally. This has changed the way it is being developed, delivered and consumed. A large percentage of our customers are a lot more agile when it comes to dealing with changing technology and user preferences. With steps in the right direction, they are taking this crisis as an opportunity, to build the next generation of technologies for the future - as an enabler for business. Team Wipro is fortunate to be a catalyst to this endeavor.
In this talk Amit Majithia, VP and Country Head, Wipro Canada, narrates a story of resilience from the Canadian insurance industry. We are proud to have with us Samantha Liscio, former Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WISB), who will talk about disruptions in 2020 and how WSIB was been able to ride the wave of challenges, the pandemic brought with it.
