Enterprise Mobile Applications (EMAs) are transforming the way we work and run our businesses. Organizations that succeed with EMAs will gain a competitive edge. Those that fail will risk obsolescence in a world of always-on, always-on-the-move business functionality.
The potential for EMAs has such radical implications for business that Wipro conducted an enterprise mobility strategy survey with 164 senior business and IT executives who are at the forefront of EMA deployments at Fortune 1000 and mid-sized North American companies. The goal of the survey was to understand the status of EMA implementation at the target companies, including the benefits and impediments experienced to date.
We found that early adopters are highly confident that EMAs will transform their business:
- 87% indicated EMAs will increase average deal size
- 93% indicated EMAs will improve the sales win rate
- 85% indicated EMAs will reduce sales cycle duration
Respondents also expect to see significant gains in employee productivity thanks to seamless communications, collaborative technologies, and increased employee availability. Among the challenges to adopting EMAs identified by the respondents were ensuring data security, developing a strategy and deployment of a roadmap for processes, infrastructure and technology.
