We are delighted to have won two prestigious Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) Reader's Choice Awards for 2011. Wipro has been listed in the Top 10 of the awards for Outsourcing/ IT Integration and for Consulting, showing strong movement between 2010 and 2011. In 2011, we were listed in the CGT Reader's Choice Awards for Outsourcing/ IT Integration at # 5 (up from #9 position). In addition, we are in the Top 10 in the Consulting category. If the awards are anything to go by, we have not stood still over the last year.
The awards are a validation of the role we play in supporting global CG businesses. And, of course, we take pride in the fact that the CG market continues to see the Wipro Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry Vertical as a leader.

We've learnt to keep pace with changing trends, and predicting them as well. CG industry faces unprecedented change. A tectonic shift has been taking place in the CG industry in terms of customer service, the growth of online channels, mobile sales, cloud computing and social media marketing. The CG industry has traditionally placed a huge emphasis on surveys, consumer reports and dipstick studies to understand consumer preferences and buying behavior. It has, for decades, worked on the principle that the retail network must be strengthened to reach consumers. But social media is changing the way and the speed with which the CG industry analyses customer demands. It has helped build direct conversations with its consumers, changing the balance with retail networks. Today, the CG industry has begun to leverage mobile technology to improve customer interaction. RFID, green packaging, enterprise resource planning, supply chain management and marketing automation are integral to market success in the CG industry.
In this period of tremendous change and turmoil, it is significant that Wipro has won global recognition through the CGT awards. We could claim it is because of our superior technological prowess, our strategic thinking, and our domain knowledge.
