Abstract
Flow-Through Provisioning is an approach to automate provisioning of new bundled services in a cost effective manner and with less manual intervention. Flow-Through provisioning provides great benefits to the service providers as well as to the network operators as it can be implemented over the TMN Model of Network Management. To implement Flow-Through Provisioning, the TMN Model can be abstracted into two layers viz, Business Layer and Network Layer.

This white paper provides an approach for the implementation of Flow-Through Provisioning in Network Layer, specifically with Optical Networks. Different network configurations are considered (like Single Optical Network Domain, Multiple Optical Network Domains etc.) in this approach.
