An approach to personalization
Abstract
With the advent of technology to address the changing needs of customers and enterprises, the importance of personalization was realized. In general, we define personalization system as any piece of software that applies business rules to the profiles of users and content to provide a variable set of user interfaces. The personalization & scenario server techniques can help e-Businesses to better understand their e-customers. This paper highlights the limitations of the traditional system architecture design to achieve personalization. It recommends a highly flexible, robust and cost effective model for delivering personalized content. It also addresses possible enhancements to leverage advanced personalization techniques provided by ATG personalization and scenario server.
