Wipro's collaboration and KM journey

Abstract
As a knowledge-intensive organization, growing at a very rapid pace, Wipro felt an acute need to manage its organizational knowledge assets effectively in order to create a business value and provide competitive advantage. Organizations today are faced with the challenge of figuring out the "right approach" to achieve this. But the truth is that there is no single "mantra" and the right approach depends to a large extent on the needs of the individual organization itself. KM really boils down to identifying the right set of business needs and leveraging existing investments in people and systems to deliver the right value to the organization. This paper gives you an overview of how Wipro, in the quest to tap intellectual assets, used its inherent strengths in people and processes to evolve a KM Framework across the boundaries of Culture, Content, Communities and Business Processes, duly enabled by Information Technology.
