Abstract
In today's complex business environment, looking at short-term solutions for business problems where tacit-to-explicit and tacit-to-tacit knowledge transformations are not being addressed adequately, may not yield desirable results in the long run. Today, organizations are looking at systems with a reach within and across enterprises, so as to leverage and integrate islands of disparate information. The complexity brought about by the distributed technology and inter-organization information bases has made it imperative that knowledge based applications need to embrace constant change to ensure success.

This white paper looks at two new emerging technology frameworks- addressing the concerns of externalizing tacit knowledge across the enterprise and handling of dynamic information complexity for informed decision making.
