Data quality - A problem and an approach
Abstract
As survival of companies is more judged by the ability to extract the right information within their data, stress is also given on the quality of data lying within. Currently, data quality is not restricted to the correctness and consistency of data. It also covers the extent to which good data is integrated and used enterprise wide. It also involves the scrutiny at the initial most level of data entrance in an organization and geographically & financially valid data with reference to other databases across enterprise.
