Wipro Technologies is a Gold-level Microsoft
Windows Embedded Partner (WEP) as a System Integrator
and Independent Software Vendor. It is the first
Indian IT Service Provider to do so. The Gold-level
status is a reflection of Wipro’s strength
and expertise as a Windows CE and XP Embedded
developer, and its excellence in building and
enabling Windows-powered solutions. Microsoft
recognizes Wipro's leadership position in this
space and also its role in contributing to and
participation in design wins on the Windows Embedded
platform.
Wipro has undertaken design services such as
application development for automotive, consumer
and mobile domains, board support packages and
device drivers on Windows Embedded platforms.
The applications developed include wireless audio
streaming, smart phone applications, and in-vehicle
connectivity solutions among others.
The Gold-level status will enable early access
to the latest Windows CE and XP Embedded information
updates, beta releases and training opportunities,
among other benefits for Wipro. This will speed
up customer product development programs on Windows
Embedded technologies.
