IEEE 802.11g Baseband Controller

Wipro’s 802.11g Baseband consists of a synthesizable Verilog core and it implements all the functions necessary for an 802.11g Baseband transceiver. Using barker, CCK and OFDM modulation techniques it supports all the 802.11 a data rates of 6,9,12,18,24,36,48 & 54 Mbps as well as legacy 802.11 b data rates of 1,2,5.5 and 11 Mbps. It supports both short and long PLCP format for 802.11b rates. The Baseband also supports I/Q, ZIF and low-IF radio interfaces and is customizable for different 802.11g radios.

Supports 1, 2, 5.5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54 Mbps rates and all the mandatory modulation schemes
Very low gate count and low power solution
Implements Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
Digital timing and frequency synchronization
DFE/RAKE equalizer in CCK receiver and frequency domain equalizer in OFDM receiver
Digital interface to the radio
Parallel interface (at lower clock) to MAC for high speed data transfer
