IEEE 802.11a Baseband Controller

Wipro Technologies’ OFDM Baseband Controller Synthesizable Core is designed for applications that target the 802.11a-1999 and HIPERLAN/2 standards.. This core can be easily interfaced with MAC/DLC to form a complete solution for wireless LAN applications for homes and enterprise applications. It can be validated using Wipro’s test environment. Wipro’s WLAN FPGA validation platform uses the OFDM Baseband and Wipro’s own 802.11 MAC.

Synthesizable Verilog source code
Supports 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54 Mbps rates
64 point Radix-4 FFT using CORDIC rotators
Implements Viterbi decoder for high performance
Implements Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
Digital timing and frequency synchronisation
Channel estimation and frequency domain equalization
