The challenge
To provide a solution that will help the customer leverage it's vastly scalable and high-speed storage and distribution network for streaming media and file transfer.

The solution
Wipro's IEEE 1394 Core is being used by the customer to network Professional Audio-Video equipment and provide a seamless mode of data transfer among the various devices over a high speed 1394 bus. The highly modular design and architecture of Wipro's 1394 Core enables the 1394 Link to be configurable for both IEEE 1394 a (100,200 and 400 Mbps) and P1394 b (800 Mbps, draft version 1.01/1.2) modes of operation through Programmable registers. This unique core, which has been customized to suit the customers' application requirements, will enable the customer to support Internet File transfer for remote Audio-Video Editing over Ethernet. Wipro's IEEE 1394 A/V Link core with software components including IP over 1394, 5C and A/V C (Audio-Video Command set) form the backbone for the interconnectivity between the Audio-Video peripheral equipment which makes it possible for high speed data transfer with strict QoS (Quality of Service).
