Standards
based format enhancing end user productivity and
efficiency
Series of images acquired on the system could be
converted into standard movie formats for doctors
to view and diagnose these on their DICOM compliant
workstation. (E.g. MPEG, MOV and AVI) User did not
require access to modality console for doing the
same
Increased end customer convenience
The doctor/operator could store the standard image
formats (e.g. BMP, JPEG, etc) on removable media
which could be then handed over to patients. This
way the patient need not carry hard prints of the
images
Improved interoperability and information
sharing
The generated images can be transferred electronically
through mail and can be put in studies/reports prepared
by the doctor
Focus on core competence
Customer was able to focus on product development
and delivery as Wipro handled the supplementary
development activities
Increased market competitiveness
Time to market reduced by thirty percent |
