Wipro has complete ownership of the mediation
device and has primed four major commercial releases
for the networks. The mediation device converts
TL1 messages received from the NE to a proprietary
protocol that is used by the network management
system and vice-versa. Tools to enhance design
(e.g. Rational Rose) and track defects (e.g. Purify)
were used.
Wipro's team of 10 engineers has delivered features
that have achieved as high as 98% clearance rate
during the initial rounds of testing. This customer
has also been able to re-deploy some of their
key resources to assignments central to their
business objectives.
