NTL is a NASDAQ listed US-owned Telecommunications Company headquartered in the U.K. They are the largest Broadband Telecom providers in U.K and Ireland.
 
Challenge

The client wanted to increase its Broadband subscribers’ base and encourage people to purchase new and different broadband services. Diversifying the business model to generate revenue from different sources like hosting services (audio/video streaming); other than the core services was a challenge.

This gave birth to a new business concept which promises customers rich and varied web content like music, games, education, entertainment and other useful contents at their PC’s. This content would be delivered to customer via single point entry on a new web site known as Broadband Plus and would encourage more customers to upgrade to broadband as well subscribe to the web site.

 
Wipro solution

Wipro helped NTL Home create a new revenue stream by developing a portal that provides its customers a single point access to content from different leading content providers and other value added services.

Wipro was involved in designing and developing the end to end solution including data modelling, integrating multiple systems, integrating existing processes into one view, reliability, redundancy, testing, scalability, performance and security.
