Wipro team proposed a solution for the sales
ordering process of preconfigured products and
how preconfigured products can be maintained in
the system. Before this process, although the
product elements were fixed, the user had to go
to the configurator for selecting the product
elements, even though there was no configuration
involved in it. This solution reduced a lot of
time in sales ordering process, for products,
which are preconfigured in nature.
Siebel eCommunication 6.3 was used as the core
system of the “Business Master” project,
which acts as a master of all the customers’
and products data. This system is integrated with
various ordering systems such as Telsims, Herkules
(Oracle for Sales/Service) and billing systems
such as Opera. The middleware used for this project
are TIBCO adapters and TMB. Telsims, Herkules,
TMB are all existing systems with customer.
