CAI stress testing

The Customer

Credit Agricole Group is among the largest banking organizations in the world today. Credit Agricole Indosuez (CAI) focuses on the wholesale banking and international business within the Group. Regionally headquartered in Hong Kong, CAI has a strong presence in corporate and institutional banking in Asia.

The Challenge

CAI, Japan had plans to roll out its FrontIERS System. The FrontIERS-Equity and FrontIERS-Derivatives is an Order Routing and Dealing System that allows dealers to place the orders related to equity and derivatives directly with trading houses. It also allows receiving executions back from these exchanges in a completely automated and electronic manner. The challenge lay in studying the existing system and carrying out stress testing on the same.

The Solution

After studying the requirements, Wipro recommended Rational TeamTest Version 2001A with 250 virtual user license pack. Rational Teamtest was the best-suited tool for testing real time applications like that of CAI's. It gave a lot of flexibility in customization and fine-tuning of scripts, which could simulate realistic load conditions.

The Benefits

The client could outsource the entire project to Wipro without taking the help of any other vendor. Wipro carried out the project right from Review Phase to the Analysis Phase. This covered the complete lifecycle of stress testing; which included Risk Management, test strategy and plan, monitoring test process, defect tracking, meaningful test reporting and, and metrics for test improvement and automated test management tools.
