About the client

The client is a US based electronic publishing and e-business products company

The challenge

The client aimed at regular product enhancements by deploying the latest technologies. The client sought a reliable technology partner with the right set of people, processes and technologies who could help them understand complex technologies and thus provide speed to market advantage.

The solution

Wipro deployed its knowlege acquisition framework to understand the client's business. There after, we executed conversion projects to port latest products onto IBM AIX, Sun OS, HP-UX, Digital Ultrix and Sequent Dynix platforms. We also enhanced the compression and print capabilities for some critical client products.

Technical environment

Wipro's system engineers worked on Solaris Sparc, Solaris Intel, Windows NT/98, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, SGI IRIX, Digital Unix, UnixWare and Sun OS. The languages on which the entire development and conversion was carried out were C, C++, TCL, JavaScript, SGML, XML, and HTML.
