Wipro did an assessment of four of the client’s
Managed Care applications viz. Claims, Membership,
Provider and Premium Billing using the services
of Gartner and its own technology centers of excellence.
Assessment included understanding current issues,
current growth plans and goals of the client applications.
These applications were assessed onsite on various
parameters (maintainability, functionality, scalability,
interfacing ability, performance, technology,
vendor assessment) and a short term as well as
long term action plan for each of the application
was recommended. The findings were reconfirmed
by analyzing (combination of manual and automated
techniques) the source code for in-house applications
(3 million lines of code) by a team of offshore
engineers.
