  • Complete secure Electronic Transaction to all Customs House from all trading partners and Govt. entities.
  • Complete business process re-engineering which include the functioning of Customs Dept. with the internal and external interface.
  • Integration of existing applications located at 24 Customs House and 12 Government entities.

The Solution
Wipro managed a complete end to end project involving hardware supply, system integration, networking, application development, application integration, 24*7 sustenance and helpdesk support, security implementation and enterprise management through tight program management methodologies. We worked cohesively within the framework of stringent government policies and in coordination with the other government agencies involving high coordination with cross functional teams within Wipro. We assisted government officials in the change management process internally at the respective locations and in the disaster recovery management. The project involved huge transaction data handling, extensive risk management and mitigation planning. The implementation of the Electronic Commerce Gateway enabled the trading community to file their import/export declarations at any point of time and through any interface technically available as on date from any corner of India or the Internet.

The solution encompassed web servers , Directory Server , Messaging Server , Proxy Server , Firewall Servers , application servers ECXpert, Trading Xpert and Oracle8i parallel server, Certificate Management Server,
