Architecting an Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) solution
 
 
Client
The client is a provider of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment services and is promoted by a major utility company in France.
 
Challenge
The service provider aimed to differentiate by providing EBPP services through a consolidator model, which will provide:
Web based online invoice presentment and payment for B2B commerce
Co-branding and integration with the banks and marketplaces
Organization modeling and user profile management
Leverage to CRM and direct marketing.
 
Solution
Wipro developed the complete application which included:
Invoices /bills import through File Transfer Protocol (FTP), transformation into XML format and upload into the consolidator database
Invoice Workflow: The invoice can be received by a buyer-user (designated owner) who can validate (accept /reject) the invoice or forward the same to another profiled user for processing. On final validation, the invoice is prepared for payment.
Payment Workflow: Flexibility in-built to the payment system - payment can be set up for multiple installments and /or activation on a future date.
Creation of company organization (division, sub-unit, user) of the buyer and supplier as a tree structure having user roles, approval hierarchy, bank details.
Messaging center for invoice related issues.
Provide marketing information on the invoice
Organization structure and profile management
