The Site, comprising of 500 sub-sites, 150,000 pages and 1,000 content contributors, serves as the main source of information to various sections of employees. The existing semi-automated and manual methods, to publish content onto the site, were very time consuming and prone to errors. Since the intranet site drove the client’s business, providing efficient access to the existing content and giving immediate attention to top priority tasks was becoming very essential.

As part of the solution, all the existing 500 sites running on different CM systems had to be migrated to Interwoven’s repository.

The migration process was initially carried out with one site at a time to identify all the loop holes. On getting the process stable, Wipro automated the whole migration process to migrate all the remaining sites. In addition, an audit of the system was carried out to assess the current load conditions of the sites and provide suitable recommendations to the client.
