Wipro and Oracle: Identity Management, Managed Services

Managed Services Benefits
Depending upon the scale and complexity of a typical enterprise, Identity Management may be a costly endeavor, which requires payment up front for the software and services. Typically, companies do not break even with their Identity Management solution until year three. Managed services offers a customer a single monthly cost for product licenses, implementation and maintenance, which results in zero impact on the cash flow and eliminates the risk of a failed Identity Management implementation. Security Managed Services is appealing to customers, since they can spread out their technology investments over time and alleviate the risk of deploying new technology

Solution
Oracle’s Identity Management Suite and Wipro’s Enterprise Security Services (ESS) will enable companies to outsource their entire Identity Management implementation on a proven platform. The Single Tenant Managed Identity Services will allow companies to outsource their user management, help desk, and maintenance, thereby delivering rapid functional benefits at reduced cost.

Managed Services Offering
The Oracle and Wipro managed services offering will be rolled out in two tracks: The Transition and Operations Support Track and The Identity Management Automation Track. The Transition and Operation Support track will evaluate the extent of automation as well as the help-desk call volume. Customers can expect immediate costs savings by outsourcing manual and operational functions such as a help desk. At the same time, the Identity Management Automation Track is building out the automated solution. Wipro will migrate manual tasks to automated processes gradually over time. Customer’s benefit from an accelerated implementation that leverages artifacts, knowledge base, and specialized frameworks from the Wipro Oracle Identity and Access Management Center of Excellence.
