The business challenge
With no single interface available across geographies and product portfolio, client’s customers had to approach different people/divisions for their requirements. The lack of base functionality lead to creation of complex supply chain, lacking integration, and further there was no common knowledge pool for sharing best practices.
 
The solution
Wipro’s adopted its propitiatory “Power-Up” methodology to upgrade ERP system from Oracle 10.7 to Oracle 11i. Oracle 11i Application’s Internet–enabled functionality and instance consolidation allowed for streamlining of business processes and integration of IT infrastructure across the organization. By decommissioning redundant customizations and replacing them with new functions, the team was able to streamline business processes and integration of IT infrastructure across the organization. With the conversion some 114 Applications, the bulk of data was reduced and several long running scripts were dissected and multi-threaded for better performance. We currently provide total post– upgrade support for this solution.
