| The client
chose Wipro to perform this entire financials
integration process. The primary task of this
engagement was development of interfaces,
work flows, data conversions and extensions
to integrate all systems with OneWorld Xe.
One of the most critical components of
the Knowledge Acquisition Process (KAP)
was understanding the way the seven different
modules functioned. Our team’s experience
in handling financial services projects
helped them quickly understand the existing
system.
This information was then combined with
end-user requirements. Based on these requirements
and analysis of current processes, a detailed
migration and integration strategy was developed.
The three main components of this plan were:
 |
JDE integration: Customized
interfaces were designed to integrate
each of the seven systems. Batch applications
were then developed to implement these
interfaces |
 |
JDE
development: As part of this
process, data conversion was carried
out to make it compatible with the format
in which it would be stored in the common
system |
 |
JDE
migration: Some of the customizations
built in the existing systems were part
of business requirements. During migration,
these customizations were reapplied
to JDE OneWorld |
