especially in the elevator segment had caused
the client to look at ways to enhance its
operational efficiency. This would not only
help improve customer service but would reduce
administrative costs considerably.
The client also wanted to improve its information
system to enable faster decision making.
This initiative would require faster access
to information as well as developing automated
systems that would provide more relevant
data to managers.
As a solution to both these requirements,
the client had decided to implement an online
flexible tool on JD Edwards platform that
would provide information to management
by interacting seamlessly with its complete
supply chain and logistics. A key requirement
of this project was extending this solution
to its parent and supplier base across the
globe. The client needed a partner who would
be able to take complete ownership for the
rapid development and deployment of interfaces,
work flows, conversions and extensions.
