| Abstract
RFID technology can be utilized by different industries
to realize business benefits. This white paper provides
a perspective and discusses in detail how RFID technology
can be utilized by different industries among others,
retail, logistics, warehouse, and manufacturing and
the impact of this technology in their business processes.
The papers also analyses the offerings
of various service providers and technology facilitators
in RFID domain and gives a competitive sketch of these
players. All this is discussed from the parlance of
Oracle’s Sensor Based Solution Framework, showcasing
how this framework is supporting RFID technology. Key
learning from prior implementations for some of the
largest companies and the immediate hurdles mitigated
forms an integral part of the discussion.
