Abstract
The need for rear parking aids using a camera on automobiles
is on a rise as they help in eliminating the blind spot
at the rear and acts as a supplement to the existing
rear view mirrors. An AT Kearney market analysis projects
this market to grow at 15% (CAGR) to reach a size of
$1.6 billion by 2005.
This white paper describes a wireless solution, using
WLAN (IEEE 802.11b), for a rear view system to help
in parking the vehicle or while driving in reverse.
It also explains the requirements, design and architecture,
inclusive of both hardware and software, to develop
such a solution.
