Abstract
An essential definition of network gaming is restricted
to playing games over the network using any kind of
game device. To develop network architectures that support
only network gaming would be restrictive. How will network
gaming evolve as a technology, 10 years from now? What
are its stimulus drivers, and what are the limitations
of the current gaming and entertainment software industry?
This paper attempts to outline the basic system requirements
of a new age network gaming solution. It talks about
the net generation voice/messaging infrastructure that
is needed to make network gaming & entertainment,
a truly self satisfying experience.
