Abstract
Workflow solutions need to have the ability to map real
world processes and leverage the existing IT systems
in any organization. Besides this workflow solutions
need to have interfaces to API’s of most of the
common products that are used in information intensive
industries. The ability to model your business processes
as workflows and change workflow rules on the fly, holds
the key to the agility & flexibility of a workflow
system. In response to the needs of various Industry
vertical’s Wipro has developed a highly customizable
workflow framework called Flow-briX. Flow-briX is also
highly scalable with workflow services that eliminate
dead time in any complicated network of activities.
This paper focuses on the architecture of Flow-briX,
and delineates the functionalities of the workflow engine,
the heart of Flow-briX.
