Abstract
The blending of existing voice and data networks is leading to the creation of a single multi service network, namely the Next Generation Network. These Next Generation Networks have opened up opportunities for deploying new and more appealing applications. A new set of application development technologies are emerging for creating such applications. This paper introduces these technologies, and the key factors that will drive their acceptance.
