| The client wanted to implement
a metrics program so as to improve the performance of
the five key performance indicators (KPIs) - quality,
productivity, schedule, effort and cost. The senior management
also wanted a clear indication on the status of the project
which would help them to monitor and control the projects
in meeting their objectives. |

| The solution |
| Wipro consultants came up with a consistent
definition of metrics as well as well defined organization
wide metrics selection criteria for different projects.
The new metrics were mapped to the identified KPIs and
were also in line with practices suggested by international
frameworks like PSP, TSP, Agile Methodologies etc. An
XLS-based, automated metrics dashboard facilitating data
collection, consolidation, reporting and metrics analysis
for all projects was also developed for the client. |
