Galp challenged Enabler to implement Retek (now Oracle Retail) in its convenience stores. The process started with systems architecture definition and selection of the ERP solution that could manage Galp’s convenience stores connected to petrol stations. Together with Galp, Enabler developed some specific functions for this type of business, including managing newspapers and magazines, store mobility using a PDA for goods receiving and stock counts, franchisee management, new payment methods, invoice matching reengineering and interfaces to the main Galp oil business.
