Debenhams was acquired by CVC Capital Partners, Texas Pacific Group, Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity and the Management team during December 2003. According to recent independent research carried out by Verdict, they have increased their share of the UK department store market to 18.6 per cent.
Enabler participated in the management of the Merlin Programme, a four year programme with an overall budget of £28 million to cover a complete review of Debenhams’ information systems and business processes. Enabler had key responsibilities in the overall project and processes review. The project included, Programme Management, Data Warehouse & Management, Information design, Markdown Modelling design and development, Forecast & Trading design and development (planning), Reporting, Merchandise Management Upgrade, and Warehouse Management Roll-out.
