Open Systems SCADA Product Design

Design specifications include embedded controllers at local centers, local monitoring and data archival, remote web-based access, BacNet, SMS-based status, automated and configurable workflow for repair and predictive maintenance. With this service, over 330 requirements were addressed.
The schematic diagram of the SCADA system is given below.
The embedded controller is an ARM platform with OS and drivers supplied by the customer. Wipro is developing the embedded web server applications and communications for this controller, which include:
- Monitoring of intelligent, non intelligent and virtual devices
- Web user interface to view states
- Device data processing logic
- Device control logic execution
- Plug-in service
- Alarm notifications
- Performance data logging
- Intelligent device debug
The monitoring computer is an Intel machine running Linux. Wipro is developing all the software for monitoring like:

- Scripting, etc.

The system supports database servers that can contain Oracle, MySQL, or Sybase databases, and clients that run different types of browsers.
