Cutting across product lines viz. storage devices, servers / platforms, embedded / consumer electronics devices, etc., Wipro has delivered firmware for a variety of products over the years. The expertise accumulated spans across several operating systems like VxWorks, RT Linux, ThreadX, Symbion, iTRON etc.

For Linux, Wipro has executed projects, integrating a host of components to make a complete distribution with drivers, protocol stacks and middleware; some components were taken from open source, some developed inhouse, while some others licensed. Once the customer selected the hardware, this solution was further customized per foot print and performance requirements; Wipro also enabled the devices on board and wrote low level code that was needed to bring up the board and the platform / application.
