OSEK
OSEK has the goal to define a standard architecture, and a standard API, which can be used by any automotive OEM or supplier. Wipro, being a key member of the automotive value chain, has always actively contributed to promote standards that help to reduce the cost and increase the efficiencies in the entire chain. On the same guiding principles, Wipro has developed its own IP that implements OSEK standard specifications. The low cost solution has been developed with an aim to promote the OSEK standards and bring in increased standardization in the entire automotive ecosystem.
Implementation Features
- Different components of the OSEK solution including OSEK COM, OSEK NM, OSEK OS and the test management protocol to test the OSEK components have been developed by Wipro
- Implementation conforms to the highest conformance class for OSEK COM
- Of the two alternative mechanisms offered by OSEK NM for network monitoring, the direct and indirect monitoring, latter mechanism has been implemented by Wipro
- Several OSEK OS features are supported by the Wipro implementation including non-pre-emptive scheduler, task management, alarm management and event management among others
- The test management protocol for conformance testing for OSEK specifications has been developed on the guidelines as specified by OSEK-MODISTARC project
