The session explores the SOA trends with particular emphasis on the business impact. The presenter, Jason Bloomberg is Senior Analyst and Principal at Service-Oriented Architecture industry analysis and advisory firm ZapThink LLC.
Mr. Bloomberg has a diverse background in eBusiness technology management and industry analysis, including serving as a senior analyst in IDC's eBusiness Advisory group, as well as holding eBusiness management positions at USWeb/CKS (later marchFIRST) and WaveBend Solutions (now Hitachi Consulting).
He co-authored the book Web Page Scripting Techniques (Hayden Books, 1996), and in association with ZapThink founder Ronald Schmelzer, contributed the chapters on Web Services to XML and Web Services Unleashed (SAMS Publishing, 2002). Messrs. Bloomberg and Schmelzer's book, Service Orient or Be Doomed! How Service Orientation Will Change Your Business (John Wiley & Sons, 2006), was released in February, 2006.
Mr. Bloomberg has a Masters' Degrees in Mathematics and History & Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Physics from Pomona College.

This session explores the various challenges one would face in accelerating the SOA adoption rate and how to circumvent them. It also explores the key SOA entry points that would hasten the process.
The presenter, Dr. Udaya Bhaskar Vemulapati is the General Manager, Enterprise Architecture and Consulting Practice, Wipro Technologies. Dr. Vemulapati is responsible for developing high-end enterprise level strategic consulting services centered on IT Strategies, Enterprise Architectures, SOA consulting and Business Process Management consulting. He served as a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science in University of Central Florida, Orlando for a number of years before he took on a leadership role in Wipro. Dr. Vemulapati holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University. |
