The Existing Challenge
Before you move from your current version of the Windows operating system to Windows Vista™, you must test your Hardware and applications to ensure that they are compatible with the new operating system. User state migration from older Operating System to Vista™, Automation, modifying the partition to utilize the newly built features are the major challenging areas for migrating to Vista™.
The Solution Approach
Wipro is ready to address concerns of customers with “Wipro’s EZ DEPLOY Desktop Solution” The
EZ DEPLOY solution is designed to address most of the requirements in Desktop Deployment. The EZDEPLOY solution with its Easy to use GUI consoles, Plug-in Interface and centralized database can help the customers with:
- Assessing “Vista™ Ready” compliance
- Certifying their environment are in compliance
- Remediation if not in compliance
- Migration Preparation as per requirement
- Schedule as per environment
- Automate deployment with state capture and load restore
How does ACF work?
Compatibility test requests are raised through the application web portal. The submitted requests will then be assigned to the technical review and assessment team to perform initial assessment of the request. On completion of this it moves to compatibility test team, for a complete compatibility test of the application that includes both hardware/software compatibility tests.
Applications which are non compatible will be put through a remediation process; where in the team will try to mitigate compatibility issues. Then it goes to packaging and quality assurance. The whole compatibility and remediation service being handled thru well designed in-house process management tool. The end deliverable thru ACF is Customer receives “Made ready for Vista™” application.
