CAAMS - Content Authoring Analysis & Management
The growth of Internet has created a whole new medium for content creation, distribution and consumption. This has forced traditional print based companies like newspapers, catalogue / brochure / flyer studios, directional ad companies et al to review their strategies in how best to engage and serve their customers.
Most yellow page advertisements, newspaper advertisements, pamphlets and brochures follow a well defined but rather flexible template that can be used by various entities such as organizations and individuals to create their customized content. One of the emerging trends emanating out of the review mentioned above is that - increasingly, companies are looking at ways to implement a template based, collaborative, content creation process. They are also looking at ways in which the created content can be stored in way that it can be easily repurposed as well as retrieved using modern search engines.
The CAAMS Proposition
CAAMS is an online Content Authoring/Editing tool with ability to integrate with workflow engines, search engines and Content Management Systems.
CAAMS enables users to work on pre built templates for graphics or start free form content right from scratch. Pre-built templates can be designed either in CAAMS or in any of the popular graphic editing and authoring tools.
The Meta data for the content can be stored in a DB packaged with the CAAMS and capable of being launched as a server. A CMS tool (Open CMS) helps maintain documentation and other files relevant to a specific content. Multiple Interfaces would be used to convert popular creative formats like produced by Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to CAAMS specific XML and viceversa.
CAAMS can be used in online advertising allowing advertisers to design and edit their ads themselves. It can also be used for collaborative content development for brochures, magazines and online news and can be extended to BPO as well.
