The business challenge
The client’s existing tracking system for production of media drives was inefficient and required a lot of manual intervention. This system also lead to low product traceability and production yield. The client decided to implement an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Work in Process system to improve product traceability during the manufacturing process.

The Solution
We designed and implemented an RFID Work in Process solution that was deployed at two locations in the US and UK. Our team was responsible for all aspects of the project ranging from identifying RFID readers and creating a process containment system to developing porting systems at various locations. Deployment of this solution has led to manufacturing efficiencies that are helping the client save millions of dollars.
