- Wipro Japan started operations as of 1998 officially.
- Wipro Japan is an end-to-end IT services provider, providing services infrastructure services, BPO solutions, etc. We are organized around various industry vertical groups serving customers in Japan. Our customers are from sectors ranging from manufacturing, financial services, travel, media & publishing, healthcare & life sciences, telecom and retail. Each of these verticals are backed by strong service lines like Infrastructure services, R&D services, testing services, consulting and BPO services.
- Japan's contribution to Wipro's revenue share is approximately 2% as per the last quarterly earnings announcement. The key industry verticals for Wipro Japan are high-tech industry, manufacturing, transportation, finance.
- Wipro has a sales & marketing office in Yokohama. Our development center is in Yokohama, and BPO Center in Okinawa.

- Wipro has the Shimpo training program for Japan market. It is 6-9 months full time Japanese Training course conducted by a native Japanese trainer which enables the candidates to read, write and speak Japanese fluently. Shimpo trains the candidates on Business Communication and Technical Terms, and also gives in-depth knowledge about Japanese culture which ensures that best customer service is provided at all times.
